Strong > Skinny; fitness and strength are more important to the body and soul than a skinny body.
In August 2011 we moved from California to Texas, and my husband had to stay behind for a few more months, and I was becoming a first time stay-at-home mom of my two children ages 2.5 and 1, at the time. I had had many SAHM friends in California who raved about Stroller Strides, but I had never had the opportunity to try it out.
My first class was the grand opening of Saturdays at Bear Creek. I expected the class to be simple, yet better than just walking around my neighborhood alone and the bonus my kids possibly making new friends in Texas. I completely under estimated the class! I had never had such a great workout, not even in my 4 years in the Marine Corps. I attribute that to the support and encouragement I received through out the workout.
With Stroller Strides my children get to watch me workout, and they know how to do lunges, jumping jacks, crunches, and so much more. I am able to promote healthy living with them already, instead of having them play in a gym child care and watch movies. Since joining Stroller Strides I am the most physically fit that I have ever been. My children have built great friendships, and so have I!
